School Improvement Team

What is a School Improvement Team (SIT)?

The School Improvement Team is a group of faculty and parents that meets monthly to discuss plans, challenges, and issues of the school at large. The faculty members represent all areas of the school including teachers, counselors, media specialist, cafeteria, custodians, etc. The decisions made by SIT reflect what is best for the school at large, and we try to make sure that the outcomes of our decisions will be reasonable for our students. SIT is responsible for making the School Improvement Plan, which is formulated every year. This plan specifies all of the goals that our school hopes to achieve in the near future and looks back at how we have performed thus far. It also helps us develop strategies to assist our teachers in reaching these goals and making sure that we stay on target.
