About Coach Vaughan

My name is Mark Vaughan. I graduated from North Davidson in 1998 and played collegiate baseball at UNCP before transferring and graduating from Appalachian State University in 2004 with a BS degree in PE K-12 and a Concentration in Psychology. I began teaching PE/Health in 2004. I am the head football coach and assistant baseball coach at the middle school as well. I am married and have 3 amazing daughters. I grew up in the North Davidson community and I am very proud to be a Black Knight!

2022 - 23 Football Tryouts!

Football tryouts will begin on 8/15 from 6:00 - 7:45 at the NDMS football field. Players will need to have all forms completed on Final Forms before tryouts begin or they will not be allowed to participate. Players will need to arrive early and meet in the gym to check in and be fitted for a helmet. It is imperative that anyone trying out does not miss a day of practice.

All practices are CLOSED! Only NDMS coaching staff and players are allowed on the field. Parents need to be on time to pick up their child and must remain in the upper parking lot by the gym.

We will have optional workouts beginning on 8/8 - 8/12 from 6:00 - 7:45. Players must have an up to date physical to participate!
