This year, I will serve all 7 DCS middle schools. My role will include: testing students for AIG identification; working with teachers to provide lesson planning support, data analysis, resources for gifted learners, and DEP support; providing differentiated and individualized instructional support through MathCounts (coordinating with local coaches), National History Day (independent project for gifted learners), and other projects in conjunction with classroom teachers; supporting the district's Credit by Demonstrated Mastery program; serving as a primary contact for parents with questions concerning the middle school gifted education program; and including any other support I can provide for the DCS gifted education program.
